The history of the Fox Theatre dates back to 1926 when it was known as the Rialto Theatre. It passed through many different hands and saw many different theatre troupes come through its doors. The building was destroyed in a fire in 1960 and it was rebuilt in 1961 as the Fox Theatre. The reconstruction efforts included a lighted marquee sign and space for 500 seats.
