Event Details

The Memorial Day Remembrance Parade, Wreath Remembrance Ceremony and Tribute Ceremony will be held Saturday, May 26 from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Downtown Denver near Civic Center Park. The events are free and open to the public.

Wreath Remembrance Ceremony from 9 – 10 a.m.: Honors fallen heroes from WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm and the War on Terror.

Remembrance Parade from 10 – 11 a.m.: Military and veterans groups will salute fallen war heroes,veterans and families by marching or riding on cars, floats or horses. Groups marching in the parade will lay flowers at the Colorado Veterans Monument at the end of the march.

Veterans Memorial Day Tribute Ceremony immediately following parade: A formal gathering honoring current Colorado fallen heroes and their families, including a Reading of the Names of the fallen from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Memorial Day Remembrance Parade is coordinated and sponsored by the Denver United Veterans Council and the City and County of Denver. The Wreath Remembrance Ceremony and Veterans Memorial Day Tribute Ceremony are coordinated by the Veterans Memorial Day Tribute.
