Slaughterhouse: The hip-hop supergroup formed in 2008 after they appeared on the song “Slaughterhouse” off Joe Budden’s album Halfway House. Crooked I, Royce da 5’9”, Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz decided to form a group, adopting the title of the song as their name. The result was a fusion of hard hip-hop and rap, blending styles from the East and West coast.

Slaughterhouse’s self-titled debut album was released in August of 2009 through E1 Music. Slaughterhouse features artists such as M.O.P and Fatman Scoop, peaked at #25 on the Billboard 200. When the album sold eighteen thousand copies in its first week, it was clear that the collaboration was successful. However, their relations with E1 became rocky when Slaughterhouse started negotiation with Eminem’s Shady Records. The group released "Beamer, Benz or Bentley (Shady Megamix)", while still with E1. Additionally, the group, minus Joe Budden, were featured on Eminem's Recovery album on the track "Session One," while also still with E1. In January of 2011, the group was officially signed to Shady along with hip-hop artist from Alabama, Yelawolf.

Other than their second studio album, Welcom to: Our House, their first real album with Shady, the group has only has a couple of scheduled shows left in 2012. Want more? Make sure to demand them and let them know they’re wanted in your city.
